We build the
infrastructure we
wanted to rent.

How this happened.

The team behind Metalhost has been operating infrastructure under the AES Services name for years — racking metal, running networks, building tooling against APIs that were almost always either too expensive, too opaque, or both.

Metalhost is what came out of that. A productized bare-metal and VM cloud where the price is on the front page, the cores are real, the egress is free, and the customer hits the same API we hit. The same compute backend also powers our provider on the Akash decentralized cloud — one fleet, multiple frontends.

We're not trying to be the next hyperscaler. We are trying to be the host that developers and small teams actually want to buy from when they stop wanting to think about clouds for a minute.

Four things we won't move on.

// 01

Price on the front page.

If you can't see the number before you sign up, it's not a price — it's a negotiation. Same rate for everyone, per-second metering, in the API.

// 02

Real silicon, not slides.

ECC memory, Intel Xeon + AMD EPYC, NVIDIA RTX 4090 passthrough, network NVMe, 50 Gbps host uplinks. The datasheet is the marketing.

// 03

Your data is yours.

We don't own it, train AI on it, or mine it for insights. We're a hosting intermediary — the legal docs say so, and so do we.

// 04

No bandwidth tax.

Bare-metal leases include unlimited bandwidth. VMs get 10 TB transfer/mo; overages bill at $0.005/GB. Egress shouldn't be a profit center.
