Projects

A project is your workspace — VMs, bare-metal leases, disks, SSH keys, and networks all live inside one project. The project picker in the top nav switches your scope across the dashboard.

Organization vs project

Your organization owns billing (wallet, invoices, members). Projects isolate resources — most teams use one project per app or environment (prod, staging). Members see all projects in the org; roles are org-wide (Team members).

First project at signup

The welcome wizard creates your first project automatically. You land on its dashboard after signup. Default quotas are seeded (25 VMs, 50 disks, 10 public IPv4, 1 tenant network per datacenter).

Create a project

Open the project picker (top nav) → new project. Enter a slug and display name. The project starts empty — fund the org wallet (shared across projects) before creating resources.

Switch projects

Use the project picker anytime. Every page — compute, storage, billing tabs — reflects the active project. Billing usage charts filter to the current project; wallet balance is org-wide.

Rename and delete

Project settings (gear icon or org settings) let you update the display name. Delete is only offered when the project is empty — remove all VMs, disks, bare-metal leases, and shares first.
